DESCRIPTION The inaugural general meeting was held at Keio University on 20 May 1995,with over a hundred members and associates present. This new society is the successor to Nippon Chizu Shiruo Kyokai (The Japan Map Material Association) which was in existence for a quarter of a century and published 300 issues of the periodical Study of Antique Maps(in Japanese).

NB. The society dissolved in May 2007. It is hoped that it can be relaunched
