FirstSearch Holdings Display Enhanced

For users who access OCLC FirstSearch system via the Z39.50 option, the Holdings display in database records will soon include the institution name in addition to the OCLC symbol. This will be available for all databases that currently provide holdings information. With this additional information, Z39.50 users will now be able to more easily locate items found in FirstSearch citations.

Americana Online Has New Feature

Here's a feature of the Encyclopedia Americana Online that you may find helpful. Just go to the URL. If prompted for a user name, use dog. If prompted for a password, use days. This site will take you to timely and important current information, and will link you to the relevant article in the Encyclopedia Americana Online. A revised URL will be provided monthly.

The EIU Collection: six full-text databases offering business information from the Economist Intelligence Unit, including China Hand, EIU Country Forecasts on Disc, EIU Country Reports on Disc, EIU Country Risk Service on Disc, EIU International Business Newsletters on Disc, EIU Investing, Licensing and Trading.
