Grolier Fall Trial and Enrollment Begins By James Speed Hensinger BCR is sponsoring a fall trial for libraries and schools that want to try out the Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia/Encyclopedia Americana online package. The midyear trial runs from September 1 to October 31. BCR's annual group subscription runs from May 1, 1999 to April 30, 2000. Renewals and new subscriptions also will be taken during the fall trial period. The Grolier and Americana encyclopedias continue as a package subscription, with the 1999 version containing a vastly enhanced Encyclopedia Americana. The Book of Knowledge is included in the Grolier/ Americana Deluxe Package. Current prices for BCR's group subscription are: Basic Package (Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia and Encyclopedia Americana) $.41 per FTE per year. Deluxe Package (Basic Package plus The Book of Knowldege) $.51 per FTE per year. Because those enrolling now will participate in only the last six months of the current subscription, prices will be prorated and set to expire on April 30.
