Archival Finding Aids Conversion Service
Pacific Data Conversion Corporation (PDCC) offers an outsourcing solution for converting your museum's or special collection's archival finding aids to its Encoded Archival Description (EAD). PDCC will convert finding aids in either printed or electronic formats to the SGML document-type definition EAD, developed by the Society of American Archivists and the Library of Congress. (See URL:lcweb.loc.gov/ead.)

PDCC's technical staff will work with you to review your library's custom templates and marked-up samples before coding and converting the material. According to PDCC, the result is a product that is in a platform- and software-independent format that offers sophisticated navigation and retrieval for delivery over the Web. All PDCC's conversion services are available to BCR member at discount prices.
